2013 marked the 18th Annual National Sporting Weekend in Albury. As per previous years we stayed at the Lake Hume Resort and the weekend ran from Friday 7 to Monday 10 June. The weekend included various sports and social activities and was well attended from around Australia and New Zealand.
The ConnecTeD Foundation hosted their “Diamonds are Forever Ball” which was scheduled for October 2012 on 18 May 2013 at Rosehill Racecourse. The SSPA had a group there and we had a fantastic night supporting this great cause. This was ConnecTeD’s major fundraising event and their largest, most glamorous and successful, in their history!
The branch had a meeting at the home of Troy Parker in King’s Park (western Sydney) on May 18, and had lunch there too. We largely discussed our coming fundraising events – the trivia night and a chocolate selling fundraiser.
