We held basketball training during the first half of 2010 at Blacktown and Emerton Leisure Centres. So far there’s no basketball planned for the second half of the year but there will no doubt be some sports days organised so please check the website for further updates.
We had an Easter Picnic at Lake Parramatta Reserve on Sunday, 21 March, 2010. Unfortunately, not many people were able to make it but it was still a great spot and a fun time.
Our February meeting was originally planned for the Bos’ near Newcastle but was switched to the home of Michael Blair in Narrabeen. We held a pool party & bbq at the Mamula’s in Greystanes on Saturday 13th February. Despite overcast weather for most of the day, we had a good turnout and plenty of time in the pool for most that went. Thanks to the Mamula’s for hosting another wonderful pool party!
Our first activity for the year was a Sports Day at Emerton Leisure Centre, Emerton on January 10. The sports ran from 1pm – 4pm and afterwards many went back to the Mamula’s for a swim. Our Christmas Party this year was on Saturday 5th of December, and we held it at Smithfield RSL for the first time. We all had a great night with some very nice food, a raffle and plenty of dancing. Thanks go to Tracey Mamula for all her hard work in organising the night.

Daniel Bos from the Central Coast of New South Wales competed in the School Sport Australia Track and Field Championships, held at Sydney Olympic Park, Homebush from November 29. He won a gold medal in the relay event. Congratulations Daniel!
