The 2009 World Dwarf Games were held in Belfast in late July. For the first time in the history of the games, Australia was represented by 15 athletes (including 6 from New South Wales) from the SSPA. On the 18th July we had a Christmas in July dinner at Prospero’s Restaurant in Parramatta. We had a good turnout with everyone enjoying a wonderful evening. Due to it being such a great night we are planning to do the same again next year.
We held the trivia night at Parramatta Workers Club in May. We had a good turnout and a big thank you to all those who came along and supported the night. A big thank you also to Tracey for organising the night. We raised over $4,000 which was a great result.
There was a meeting at the home of Alma Weber and Alex Simak at Seven Hills on Saturday, 9th May 2009. Following the meeting most stayed around for afternoon tea and a chat.
