This year we held the Christmas Picnic at Bicentennial Park, Homebush, near the Egret and Heron Pavilions. The picnic was on Saturday, 13 November from around 11am. We had a reasonable turnout of families from throughout Sydney and also the Central Coast. Santa arrived mid-afternoon to give out gifts to all the younger children.
The NSW Branch held a Spring Picnic Day at Blackbutt Reserve, New Lambton (near Newcastle) on Saturday 23rd October, starting at 11am. There was a wonderful turnout from the Hunter Region, with many new faces. The day was a lot of fun and it’s certainly something we’ll be looking at doing again in the future.
The 2010 ConnecTeD Ball was held at Rosehill Racecourse, Rosehill, NSW on Saturday, 16 October at 7pm. The night was a fundraiser for the ConnecTeD group. A group from the SSPA attended the Ball to support this worthwhile cause and had a great time.

We held a trivia night fund raiser on Saturday 22nd May, 2010 at Carlingford Bowling, Sports & Recreation Club. We were raising funds for this year’s Convention being held in Western Australia. We had an Easter Picnic at Lake Parramatta Reserve on Sunday, 21 March, 2010. Unfortunately, not many people were able to make it but it was still a great spot and a fun time.
We held another Sports Day at Emerton Leisure Centre on March 7 from 1pm to 4pm. We played basketball, followed by badminton, boccia and then indoor soccer. Some of the younger ones enjoyed the pool at the centre also. Thanks to all who came and enjoyed a fun day!
We held a pool party & bbq at the Mamula’s in Greystanes on Saturday 13th February. Despite overcast weather for most of the day, we had a good turnout and plenty of time in the pool for most that went. Thanks to the Mamula’s for hosting another wonderful pool party!
Our Christmas Party this year was on Saturday 5th of December, and we held it at Smithfield RSL for the first time. We all had a great night with some very nice food, a raffle and plenty of dancing. Thanks go to Tracey Mamula for all her hard work in organising the night.
